Monreale Cathedral has several sets of mosaics. Most people were interested in the Genesis mosaics and Old Testament mosaics, because even those who were not Christians were familiar with the stories. Both sets of mosaics were visible from the center of the cathedral, with Genesis mosaics sitting on top of Old Testament mosaics.
